The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. Watch the The Shining Light broadcast of the Centennial Celebration Show from the 2010 National Jamboree in Ft. AP Hill, Va. This broadcast is the first of its kind and features a wide variety of all things Scouting. One of the event highlights was an appearance by Mike Rowe, Eagle Scout and host of Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs. His appearance at the 03:08:10 time mark is not to be missed.
